New Program Aims to Help Tourism Businesses and Organizations Attract Local and Maritime Travellers by Creating and Promoting Compelling Packages

Wednesday, July 15, 2020

The RADIATE Tourism Program is a new program offered by Tourism Nova Scotia to help tourism businesses and organizations develop and market travel packages showcasing activities and experiences that are authentically Nova Scotian and appeal to Maritime travellers.

We want to collaborate with tourism businesses and organizations to drive as much tourism activity as possible. Nova Scotians and Maritimers are the most likely to be willing and able to travel throughout Nova Scotia in the immediate future. We need to showcase the unique places to go and things to do that set us apart from the other Maritime provinces and give people a reason to travel.

Participants in the RADIATE Tourism Program will be supported with market research insights about Maritime traveller preferences, coaching on experience and package development, marketing assets such as photos, and support for marketing activities such as digital marketing, sponsored content, and influencer content.

Participating businesses can receive product coaching and between $1,000 to $10,000 value in marketing content and activities. Organizations (regional marketing organizations, industry organizations, business consortiums) are eligible to receive coaching and up to $50,000 value in marketing content and activities.

Applicants that have been in operation for at least one year with a focus on marketing to travellers can apply to develop package(s) in the following categories:
